As equipment starts running, sludge is pushed into the filter cartridge from the sludge inlet and then moved to the sludge cake outlet under the screw thrust of the helical blades.
The centre part is the filter cartridge, which is composed of a fixed ring, a moving ring and a screw shaft.
The front part is the thickening zone, and the following part is the dewatering zone. Because space among helical blades gradually gets smaller, increasing the pressure on sludge.
The waster gradually is squeezed out from those small gaps between the fixed ring and the moving ring because of the pressure difference.
With an automatic cleaning function, the filter cartridge is well protected from blocking. Last step, the sludge cake is pushed by the helical axis to the outlet after being fully dewatered.
